Who is this rambler?

I’m Heidi and I’m currently living and teaching in Japan. This blog is about my experiences here.

I love to travel, hence why I am here. I’ve also been interested specifically in Japan since I was little. I want to live on every continent. Yes, including Antarctica. I don’t know how I’ll make that possible, but I’m working on it. So far I’ve lived in North America, Europe, and obviously now Asia. That’s three out of seven, if you didn’t realize. Also, if you didn’t realize, please brush up on the world here:  http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/Geography.htm. It’s fun–I promise!

Before I moved to Japan, I taught Language Arts and Social Studies in the US, so occasionally I refer to my experiences with that as well as my former students. (Hi kiddos!)

I also spent one year in Switzerland working as an Au Pair.

I’ll try my very best to update this blog at least once a week. If I post a particularity wordy entry, I’ll try to accompany it with a post with a lot of pictures. I know not everyone wants to read my somewhat nonsensical ramblings!

Now I shall quote the poet Edna St. Vincent Milla, “There isn’t a train I wouldn’t take, no matter where it’s going.”

  1. That’s awesome that you’re so worldly. I love traveling. I haven’t been to Asia yet though! Jealous! Looking forward to your travels and experiences! Thanks for the follow!

    • Whoops! Still haven’t gotten a hang of this blog thing. I totally forgot to reply to this! I’m not nearly as good at it as you are! You should definitely come to Asia sometime, especially Japan.
